The sinking of the USS Oriskany was
completed on May 17, 2006. Despite early concerns that she had
landed on her starboard side, she was found to be sitting
perfectly upright the next day.
The USS Oriskany is the largest
artificial reef in the world. She is resting in 212 feet of
water, with the flight deck around 135 feet, and the top of the
structure at 69 feet.
A dive on the USS Oriskany does not
need to be a technical dive, as there is more than enough to
provide an awesome dive experience above the 100 foot mark. The
sheer size and majesty of the Oriskany cannot be accurately
described; you've got to see her for yourself!
Trip includes two dives on the USS Oriskany and two dives on a
nearby wreck, two nights lodging
(double occupancy) and air/nitrox fills. Lunch
will be provided on the boat each day. Transportation is not
included in price. The charter boat is limited to twenty people
so be sure to reserve your spot today.
